Souta Arao becomes the latest in a long line of Japanese rising stars to head for the UK on their pathway to the top, as he joins Hitech GP in GB3 for the 2023 campaign.
The Red Bull-backed driver impressed on his full-time debut in single seaters last season, claiming third in the French F4 Championship with three victories, at Spa-Francorchamps, Paul Ricard and on the tight, twisty street circuit of Pau.
In joining reigning Drivers’ champions Hitech GP, the 17-year-old will be well-placed in his bid for similar success this season.
